Water Conservation

EPA Watersense

Contrac has partnered with the EPA's WaterSense program and we've manufactured WaterSense-certified toilets that can save a family of four over 16,000 gallons of water per year.

Alliance for Water Efficiency
Contrac is also a member of the Alliance for Water Efficiency, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to the efficient and sustainable use of water. They serve as a North American advocate for water efficient products and programs and provide information and assistance on water conservation efforts.

Water-Saving Toilets
We recognize how severely our environment is threatened by drought. In response to this problem, Contrac has focused on manufacturing high-performance water-saving toilets, know as High-Efficiency Toilets (HETs). View all Contrac HET Toilets. (LINK)

Why Water Conservation?

36 US states anticipate extreme water shortages within the next 5 years due to rising temperatures, population growth, drought and excess use.

Water is a finite resource—even though about 70 percent of the Earth's surface is covered by water, less than 1 percent is available for human use.

The average household spends as much as $500 per year on their water and sewer bill and can save about $170 per year by installing water-efficient fixtures and appliances.

Calculate your potential savings.

WaterSense labeled toilets use 20-35% less water per flush, but perform as well as or better than today's standard toilets and older toilets that use much more water.

Replacing just one old fixture with a water-saving toilet can save up to 4,000 gallons of water a year per person.
